Dyslexia- Reading Difficulty
- Child cannot read
- Child cannot understand what he reads
- Child cannot associate tellers with sounds.
- Child cannot blend sounds
- Child cannot spell or pronounce words.

Dyscalculia – Mathematical Difficulty.
- These children cannot solve simple and complex mathematical operations.
- These children cannot understand the concept of time and direction.
- They have problems in handling money transaction.

Dysgraphia – Writing Difficulty.
- These children have poor pencil grip
- These children cannot put thoughts on paper.

How can we help children with SLD?
- Early assessment by clinical psychologists, educators or counselors.
- Remedial teaching that is preparing an Individualized educational programme (IEP) for each child according to his/her functional level, which will help him to overcome his weakness in a particular area.
